CCC success at World Climate Solutions
At the end of September 2010, Copenhagen Cleantech Cluster participated in this year's World Climate Solutions in Copenhagen along with other members of the world’s leading knowledge institutions and cleantech companies. Especially the presence of the world's fastest electric car made CCC’s stand very popular.

Surrounded by tomorrow's technology from Danish universities and global companies like ABB, Rockwool and Siemens, CCC was among the participants in this year's biggest Danish cleantech conference. With a strong field of international speakers and guests, CCC, with their central location at the conference expo, can only be pleased with the amount of interest the stand received from many participants during the two days. Especially the collaboration with Tesla Motors created a stir, as CCC had a shiny white Tesla Roadster with the CCC logo parked in the middle of the booth.

- We are very pleased with our participation at the World Climate Solutions. Especially our cooperation with Tesla resulted in many participants paying our stand a visit to find out more about CCC. All in all, we received many inquiries from interested companies and organisations, and the hard work of following up on these enquiries now awaits us, says Nicolai Sederberg, head of the CCC Secretariat.

Green is the colour of the future

During the event, CCC also hosted a workshop under the heading "Intelligent Solutions for a clever future". Here the participants were taken through a three hours guided tour through the challenges and possible solutions facing our society the coming years, when the ambitions of growth and prosperity must be achieved with careful consideration to the environment.

- We cannot ignore the fact that environmentally correct solutions will become a more significant part of everyday life both for businesses and consumers. Many technologies are still new, and therefore the possibilities are still unknown to many, but the presentations which we saw at the workshop showed that growth and energy considerations are not mutually exclusive, Nicolai Sederberg says.

By his opening speech, Anders Eldrup CCC's chairman and CEO of DONG Energy, provided the settings for the workshop, which among other things also featured presentations by the green Danish think tank Concito, the energy technology company Green Wave Reality and the American cleantech cluster Colorado Clean Energy Cluster.
