Green train to Europe starts in Copenhagen
Hamburg in Germany has been named the "European Green Capital 2011" by the EU and has therefore put on a green train. With the interactive exhibition "Visions of Future Cities", the train stops in 18 European cities to demonstrate the potential of green technologies and invites the audience to contribute with their own visions.

First stop was Copenhagen in late April, where six carriages with various activities were exhibited at the City Hall Square in Copenhagen. Here, visitors could for example enter a carriage where a virtual meal was projected onto a plate, showing how eating affects CO2 emissions or visit a carriage where one could go on a "bike ride" around the new urban development project, HafenCity, in Hamburg.

- Hamburg is a very visionary city and has been named the Green Capital 2011 because of its high environmental standards combined with economic growth. The exhibition and the way it travels around in Europe is a different way to involve many people in how their behavior affects the climate, and the opportunities that technology offers us to create global sustainability, which simultaneously guarantees jobs and economic growth. It is a very exciting project," says Head of Secretariat in Copenhagen Cleantech Cluster, Nicolai Sederberg.

The train will travel around in Europe until the 20th October this year.
