- Good start to green, global cooperation
- Copenhagen Cleantech Cluster visited Colorado to discuss the new global network, the International Cleantech Network (ICN), which aims to bring together some of the world's leading cleantech clusters in a super-cluster.

Therefore, (CCC) went to Colorado, USA, to develop the
International Cleantech Network (ICN) cooperation, which currently
includes cleantech clusters from Denmark, Spain, Norway, Austria
and the U.S.
- We are still in the first phase, where we are working to bring
together 10-15 leading cleantech clusters from around the world.
The purpose of creating a stronger international cooperation
between the clusters is to enhance knowledge sharing between
businesses and improve cooperation between the regions, in which
the clusters are located, to give them a competitive edge in the
battle for new technologies, talents and market shares, Head of
Cleantech Networks in Copenhagen Capacity, Simon Dreyer explains.
On behalf of Copenhagen Capacity which is a partner in CCC, he is
in charge of the network development in CCC.
CCC is currently negotiating with five additional clusters, which
are expected to join the ICN in the course of 2011.
The U.S. looks to Denmark
The U.S. state of Colorado is among the leaders when it comes to
investments in green technologies, and just like Denmark, Colorado
has turned the cleantech industry into a high priority. Last year,
Copenhagen Capacity helped the smart grid company Spirae from
Colorado to locate in Denmark.
- Therefore, we have great expectations for the future in regards
to this collaboration, and the trip was also used to hold a series
of meetings with companies, which we can see as potentially setting
up in Denmark, and with the State of Colorado's official export
agency. Moreover, we held a presentation for 100 business leaders
about the Danish cleantech industry, and there was a great interest
in learning more about specific sectors and business opportunities
in Denmark, says Business Development Manager, Copenhagen Capacity,
Stephan Skare Nielsen, who also participated in the trip to
Colorado.
