- DKK 17 million extra for wing research at Risø DTU
- A 34-meter long wing from SSP Technology A / S has since 2008 been thoroughly turned, twisted, torn and worn in accordance with all rules of art.
This has led to the development of an entirely new test method for improving the wing structure and wing design. The method has already been adopted by the industry, and now the project has been granted DKK 17 million for the project's second phase. The overall objectives of the project are to jointly develop the experimental platform for testing of future wind turbine blades and to develop new methods allowing designers secure ways to achieve the best results, Risø DTU states.
