Risø DTU - a new EU initiative on increased use of renewable energy

The EU has just launched a new project aiming to reach 20 per cent renewable energy in the EU countries in 2020 in a more profitable and efficient way. The project named "RES4LESS" is a two-year collaborative research and development project coordinated by the Dutch Energy Research Centre ECN and Risø DTU is a partner in the project, and leads a project group.

The Business Innovation Fund has started a new round of applications for green innovation. In this round, commercial products and services for the benefit of the climate and the environment are supported. Companies can also apply for funding for development of innovative, green package solutions that combine a number of services and products.

Copenhagen is global cleantech leader

The Danish capital is ranked number one on a newly released ranking of the ten most leading cleantech cities when it comes to “warm atmosphere for cleantech to expand and enable more to use renewable energy and energy efficient products”. The Copenhagen Cleantech Cluster, CCC, is attributed a great amount of importance in the further development of Copenhagen and the Øresund Region.
