GEUS
Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS)

GEUS is an independent research and advisory institute in the Danish Ministry of Climate and Energy. GEUS conducts geological surveys to exploit and protect geological natural resources in Denmark and Greenland. Activities cover data collection and data storage, research, advisory services, and communication of information.

As the national centre for geo-data, GEUS is responsible for the management of data from activities relating to monitoring groundwater quality, water supply, exploration and extraction of oil and natural gas, as well as exploitation of mineral resources.

GEUS is a part of Geocenter Denmark and collaborates intensively with international research institutions. The staff assists in the education of researchers at Danish and foreign universities.
