Aalborg University
University of Aalborg teaches up to 17.000 students yearly, either on full time or part time courses, and is one of Denmark's largest and most influential universities.

The university is primarily placed in Aalborg, however, since 1995 it has had a department in Esbjerg after the fusion with the Engineering and science faculty in Esbjerg. Additionally, in 2005 the university opened its first department in Copenhagen in order to establish a connection to the School of Engineering in Copenhagen.

The University of Aalborg is divided into four faculties, each with various institutions, centers and study boards. The faculties include:

  • Faculty of Humanities
  • Faculty of Social Sciences
  • Faculty of Engineering and Science Faculty
  • Faculty of Health Sciences


Since its establishment in 1974, University of Aalborg have had a special focus on international partnerships, which has made it into a local university with international perspectives.
