The Water Innovation Network (WIN), an initiative which aims to promote innovation in the water industry supply chain, has set the ambitious and aspiring goal of generating as much as 25% of their energy requirements from renewable energy sources by 2015. In order to achieve this, the Water Innovation Network has already invested in two wind turbine sites and also made plans to increase the percentage of energy produced from biogas CHP. However, they still face a 10% gap in meeting their goal.

The Water Innovation Network is therefore inviting companies to the Anglian Water Renewable Energy Summit in order to gain new ideas and knowledge that can help optimise current activities and provide new solutions for renewable energy sources.

All the key Anglian Water managers involved in the Water Innovation Network's renewable energy strategy and procurement will be present at the event. They will dedicate the entire day to discussing new ideas and initiatives, as well as debating the challenges and opportunities for renewable energy solutions.
